Mindsets Of Achievers In The 21st Century
18 June 2022As the earth’s surface experiences rapid change, almost every aspect is affected both negatively and positively. Given the COVID-19 global pandemic, performance in organizations, institutions and teams of private and public sectors are gradually being eaten up by the same phenomenon. You as a leader or team player, here are key threats that will cripple your team from performing exceptionally.
Social Media Interactions
Basing on facebook statics, over 1.5 billion people actively use face for at least 20 minutes a day. Over 1.15 billion log onto Facebook associates like Instagram and the like. Social media is seemingly an addiction catching up with so many young people nowadays. This kind of behavior wastes time, mental concentration and zeal of delivering results at their best. Thus affecting performance of an organization.
Psychological Strains
The World Health Organization threatens with proof that by 2030, stress, depression and mental illnesses will be the second leading cause of deaths and suicidal cases across the globe. What does this mean for Human Resource? Definitely, poor performance of people at work, life and career duties, motivation loop holes and other hideous facts of life. What are you doing to foster mental health for your workers or colleagues?
Exaggerated Expectations
If clear parameters guiding employees expectations for a project have been set, they will eventually get fixated in hunting for better pay, green pastures and better opportunities. In fact, it’s not bad to be hunting for a better life but such an attitude driven turnover cases. This leads to performance declining due to no settlement at one workplace to deliver their best.
Working Remotely
Of late, social distancing and lock-down have totally promoted remote working. This comes with challenges faced with those who were not ready and still find it uncomfortable to work from homes. I believe it is difficult to be productive when working remotely than when in office setting. Push yourself to stay in the game of high performance even by having daily targets and following through them.
