3 Clever Ways To Strengthen Teamwork at The Workplace
18 June 2022As a parent, guardian or caretaker, you have good intentions for your little one(s). You wish that they get the best meaning of their life. Deem!, some dreams go horribly wrong over the years when you see youths in self-harm, suicide and living a mediocre. Here are some of the most common mistakes done in parenting that affect children in the long run.
Praising Them for Everything They Do
It’s a good thing to give your little one(s) compliments, gratitude sayings, and accolades. However, overpraising a child will block him from seeing his weaknesses and limit his personal growth. Be positive in speech and rebuke with love.
Trying to Make the Child Happy
Happiness should be a result of efforts of self-pursuit not handed over. Groom your young ones to learn being happy. Invite them to bring in suggestions on what happiness means to them and how they can actually achieve it.
Keeping Them Too Busy
Many parents wrongly believe “activities” will keep their kids out of trouble, but oftentimes this will lead to burn out. Yes, a busy mind can avoid so many troubles but help the child balance his life, fun, and academics
Giving Them Too Many Choices
Many parents think children should always have endless choices from life, career paths, to relationships including religion. The reality is kids can be overwhelmed if they’re always given so many options. Instead, ask them to open up to you their thoughts and opinions and advise accordingly.
Pseudo Self-Image
It can be tempting for parents to promote a certain image in their children. Yet this can lead to a child becoming arrogant, the wrong perception of who they truly are and secretly believe that they have to put on an act that way. As a result, they are completely off track.
Shunning paramount topics for discussion
Many parents are terrified of talking about sex, responsibility, and consequences attached to a mediocre life. But I’ve seen 13-year-old girls get; pregnant, wasted in drugs, prostitution and sometimes just to flaunt it at their parents.
Traditionalism/ conservatism
‘We have always done things this way.’ Such phrases limit children’s’ creativity, innovation, and capability to take risks. Allow discussions of new challenges from your children in ideology, academics, and business. You’ll be surprised at how smart they can be. Give them a chance.
Exemplary Loopholes
When children see the hypocrisy in their parents or the touted beloved leaders, they lose trust and zeal to uphold their commitment. Be exemplary in everything you speak about. Observation is the key challenge and learning people have got.
Successful children give pride and honor to their parents, guardians, and society whereas wasted ones yield nothing but shame. You deserve gratitude for the success of your little ones.
