19 June 2022Hello there, my name is Aidah Mutesasira, I work with Forum for African Women Education (FAWE), Ugandan chapter, and I am the human resource and Administration manager.
As FAWE, we reached out to Success Africa to support our senior management team with training on supervisory management. we were having challenges in effectively dealing with our team and then effectively engage them to deliver on their targets.
So we reached out to Success Africa to deliver training for us and equip us in the component of supervisory management. The training spanned over a period of six days, we did it online because some of my colleagues were locked out of the country and some of us were within the country. And we needed to do it without any more delay, so we undertook the training using zoom and I must say Success Africa did a wonderful job over the six-day period.
The content was delivered to our satisfaction and among ourselves we have observed improvement in the way we deal with our staff, our communication conflict resolution. We are working at improving our performance management and yes, I must say, it was a job! Well done.
The thing I found most satisfying, was the session delivered on performance management for a while we have struggled with this component of performance management, lack of appreciation of how it flows and why it is needed. How it contributes to the overall achievement of the goals of the organization. But when we had the training i saw my senior colleagues appreciate performance management as a key tool in getting the organization to where it should be.
The module was delivered in a very simple yet very strong way that we all got to appreciate where we need to take it up. With immediate effect other tools that were shared with us were very simple and very useful and exhaustive and anyone can use them and actually be able to deliver on what it is that they are expected to deliver.
So that the performance planning proof the performance rating tools are very well designed and very simple to use. I saw my colleagues actually appreciate this very important component of the training that we undertook. which, is also significant in us getting our targets in a timely manner.
The other thing that the training has helped us achieve is; it has improved significantly our outlook to issues and the way we engage with our teams so that they are able to deliver to the best of our abilities. So our capacity to supervise effectively supervise our teams has been built significantly and it has improved even our ability to supervise our team members remotely because with the lock down we faced, a lot of challenges in effectively supervising people remotely but with this training. We are able to supervise our teams remotely and even as we launch into exploring now how to effectively utilize the remote working policy.
We know that we can effectively supervise people without them physically being present in the office or without us necessarily being in the same space with each other so it was a well done.
Success Africa did a very good job for us and as an organization we are very appreciative of the work they did. We are going to embark on our coaching exercise with them as a continuation of the training and this is something that we also appreciate because now they are going to see how we are delivering on what we were tough.
So that it was it is more than a classroom kind of thing but is being translated into the workplace so the ongoing support through coaching that we are going to get we believe is going to even impact our work further and that of our junior colleagues.
I must say we are very satisfied with the work that our Success Africa did with us, I can guarantee you value for money, if you invest your resources and engage this team to work with you will you will have invested wisely and you will achieve whatever it is you set out to achieve.
I love the flexibility of them being able to deliver their content online via zoom up it was very well done we did not miss the classroom, because we interacted as much as we could have in a physical setting the added advantage is that even those who are out of the country who are able to be in the same class at the same time.
So I encourage you not to be limited by my space I encourage you not to be limited by the fact that you cannot meet physically in a training role or in a classroom of some sort reach out to them i can guarantee you value for money thank you very much.
