Myths Holding People From Giving Effective Feedback
18 June 2022Customers are the source of revenue which is the fuel of running any organization. Leaders and team members need to have wonderful, exciting and gripping strategies to retain customers. The way you handle a customer for the first time will determine whether they will come to you again or not. Remember, first impressions are very crucial and you need to be exceptional. Here are ways on how to create a lasting bond on first sight with your clients.
Receive them with a warm smile
When you make eye contact with a customer, smile genuinely at them. A genuine smile is always appealing to people and makes them feel welcomed. A customer needs to feel a warm welcome to your business if they are to stay for the long term.
Show interest in the first
It feels good to know that someone is interested in you, doesn’t it? So it helps to quickly introduce yourself and ask for your client’s name too. Before you even get concerned about the subject matter of the client, direct them to a seat and offer them a refreshment if any. This shows you are acting humane more than carrying out robot-scripted actions. Before you think of sharing your business card, ask the client for their card instead. It says you are interested.
Appreciate them
In most times, you find people appreciating customers at the end of a conversation however it is also important to first appreciate someone before you even kick start the business conversation. Phrases like, “It is a pleasure having you today in our business and I don’t take such a great opportunity to serve you for granted, thank you for taking time to visit us today….” Saying all these gratitude statements with warmth will build enough rapport that the customer will freely share their concerns with you.
