On my side, this has been the longest homestay and tough times for working professionals I have ever witnessed the world going through. Apart from the credit crunch in 2008, the COVID-19 pandemic has checked both local and international agencies, organizations, and individuals. The impact of this pandemic has severely impacted on productivity since many people are remotely working. This has therefore affected both individual and organizational plans and targets for the year. How would you rate your personal achievement in terms of intended goals so far? I believe you are very interested in hitting your set goals irrespective of the pandemic. This is how you can turn your worries into wins for the year;
Center your Focus
If you draw your focus on something, you have more chances of getting it. Your concentration opens the spiritual and physical portals for success or failure depending on what you put it at. Amidst such times, so many people tend to concentrate on gossip, pandemic updates, and others which will only low your energies and ambitions for success. So ground yourself with what is worthy and you’ll surely attract work.
Be optimistic
Do your best to stay positive amidst any kind situation because that how best you can guard your mind. Positivism is a response determined by you not based on how negative or positive the situation has presented itself. Therefore, invest a lot of effort in reading, listening, and watching positive content. Surprisingly, there is a radio commercial ad on the capital radio station that clearly states that overconsumption of news can lead to psychological trauma. This advert emphasizes the reduction of news consumption but I believe it is because most of the news is negative.
Adapt
Adaptation is simply learning to unlearn and relearn again. Recently, someone made a comment and said, “I have literally postponed all my programs till things become better.” “Alas! what if they do not turn out to be better as you anticipate, what will you do then? I responded.” Just think of the professionals in the education industry, still, under lockdown, no payments, especially for the private teachers yet they, have to survive. I called my A‘ level teacher and had a chat with him about how he is surviving, interestingly, the dude is busy homeschooling some students were the parents agreed on which days he shows up. How fast have you adapted to e-learning and e-commerce?
Become more aggressive
“Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do.” Dr Schuller. If you find yourself in the state where your wins are almost invisible. Know that situations are tough, develop the mental stamina to thrive through difficulties. This is the right time to invest more efforts in sales, marketing, or brand visibility. It is time for the mad beast within you to unveil itself.
There is hope for you to get back on track and chase your dreams like never before. how bad do you need results?
